Tips & Advice

Looking after you skin.

It is important that we look after our skin. Achieving this is simple, all it takes is four steps twice a day.

  1. Cleanse (to remove make up & dirt from the skin)
  2. Tone (to remove any excess cleanser / also to refreshes your skin)
  3. Treat (to give your skin an added boost to ensure cell activity)
  4. Moisturise (to ensure the skin does not become too dry or too oily)

As well as these four steps twice daily an exfoliator should be used twice a week and a facial mask once a week.

Primer & Base
First I apply a face primer for staying power. Then I apply the foundation all over evenly making sure it has blended in with the natural skin tone. Note: Test your base on your jaw line if it disappears it is the correct tone for you.

Conceal & Fix
Conceal to hide any shadows around the eyes and the nose area; Use also to cover blemishes. Powder is then used to fix base in place. Note: Use sparingly so that the face doesn't look heavy.

Cheeks
Using a powder blush with a rosy pink tint that helps to create definition with that fresh look at the same time. Note: A bronzer, tint or cream blush can be used too.

Eyes
The eyes are brushed all over with a light highlighter. A medium tone is then brushed over the eyelid and just above the crease to add the desired colour. The darker tone is then blended into the crease to add definition and bring the eyes to life. Note: Blending is the key to give soft defined eyes. Don't forget, practice makes Perfect.

Eyeliner & Mascara
A thin line of gel eyeliner is applied to the top and bottom of the eye, again to add a little more definition. When applying the mascara I apply two coats to give them their full potential. Note: Waterproof is advised in case of any teary moments.

Lips
The lips are primed with a lip primer, giving the lips a longer lasting finish. They are then lined to prevent any bleeding with a natural toned lip liner. Then using a natural toned lipstick two coats are applied to the lips working from the outer corners to the bow of the lips. I then use a clear gloss over the top to add shine & luxury. Note: Keep your lipstick / lip-gloss with you at all times for any necessary retouches.
